On Tuesday, July 30, at high noon, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. Lincoln Shaw of Rockland Farm, Belair, Md., occurred the marriage of their daughter, Esther Lorene, to Mr. L. Cline Smith, son of Mr. C. F. Smith of Ridgely, Md. The ring service was performed by Rev. Kindly of the Methodist church Belair. Miss Edith Hill of New York acted as maid of honor. The house was attractively decorated with white hydrangeas and ferns. Mendelssohn's wedding march was played by Mrs. Milton Smith of Ridgely, Md., as the bridal party entered. Immediately following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served. The out-of-town guests were: C. F. Smith and Miss Sylvia Smith, father and sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. C. E. Cannon and Mrs. Milton Smith of Ridgely, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Luther Weaver of Greensboro, Mrs. Annie Hopkins and Miss Mary Butterworth, also of Greensboro, Md., and Mrs. Clara A. Shaw of Washington, D.C. At 4 o'clock the bride and bridegroom left for their new home in Ridgely, Md. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Friday, August 2, 1918
