MARTINSBURG MATTERS.

  An early spring wedding was had Tuesday last at the residence of J. 
K. Kauffman, southern end of the village, when his eldest daughter, 
Miss Barbara E., was united in marriage to Mr. Isaac K. Stern, of Ore 
Hill, Elder Peter Keagy pronouncing the ceremony.  In the evening, 
quite a number of boys assembled to give the contracting parties a 
little serenade, when the doors were thrown open and they were invited 
in.  Once seated the old family Bible was opened and a chapter was 
ready, and all knelt reverently in prayer, and thus ended the first 
chapter on this life's voyage.
