STEVENS - GATES.

  Miss Mary Catherine Gates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gates, of 110 
Maple avenue, and Mr. Joseph R. Stevens, son of Mrs. W. F. Stevens, of 727 
Chestnut avenue, were united in marriage by the Rev. J. W. Wilt, pastor of 
the Brethren church of Juniata last Wednesday evening.  The attendants were 
Miss Minnie Gates, a sister of the bride, and Mr. Thomas Bloom, of East End.  
After the ceremony a wedding supper was held.  The groom is employed as a 
brakeman on the Pennsylvania Railroad.  They will take up their home at the 
residence of the bride's parents, where they will be at home to their friends 
after a brief wedding trip.
