The cosy residence of Mr. David Sammel, 2530 Eighth avenue, was brilliantly illuminated and tastefully decorated last evening in honor of the marriage of Miss R. Gerdalia Sammel and Mr. James A. Stuard. Palms, ferns and smilax with pink and white carnations made a delightful background for a very pretty wedding group. Mendelssohn's Wedding March was rendered with skill and expression by Miss Margaret Drew, when promptly at 8 o'clock the contracting parties appeared before the officiating minister, Rev. W. M. Ryan, of Hollidaysburg. At the conclusion of the ceremony a beautiful wedding supper was served to the assembled guests. There were present only the immediate relatives and friends, excepting a delegation of six young men from the Judson Bible class of the Hollidaysburg Baptist church, of which the groom is a member. Miss Sammels is a charming young lady with a large circle of friends. Mr. Stuard is a conductor on the Logan Valley road and is well known in Altoona and Hollidaysburg. They will reside for the present at 2530 Eighth avenue.
