At 4 o'clock last evening, at the home of the bride's parents, 221 Seventh avenue, Mr. John E. Wertz and Miss Sadie McKnight were united in the holy bonds of matrimony in the presence of a few relatives and friends. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. E. Irvine, of the Third Presbyterian church. The bride is the estimable and loving daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McKnight, and being a kind and loving daughter, will make an equally loving and affectionate wife. The groom is a brakeman in the Altoona yard, employed by the company. He has many friends in this city and Hollidaysburg, having been brought up by good parents near the last named place, and by those who know him best is highly spoken of as being an excellent and model young man. The bride received some beautiful presents. Mr. and Mrs. Wertz will leave to-day on the 2 o'clock train to spend a few days in the east with some of the bride's relatives. On their return they will go to housekeeping in this city. Their many friends hereby extend their congratulations. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, November 14, 1890
