Two Well-Known Young People Happily Married on Wednesday. Our Arch Spring correspondent sends us the following: The house of Mr. and Mrs. James Roseberry, of Sinking Valley, was the scene of a very pleasant event Wednesday. It was occasioned by the marriage of their youngest daughter, Miss Moilie [Mollie] E., to Mr. H. L. [Harry*] Weyer. Promptly at 12 o'clock noon the bridal party entered the beautifully decorated parlor in time to the wedding march played by Miss Margaret Crawford, after which Rev. L. M. Lewis, the bride's pastor, performed the ceremony which united them for life. Mr. Lawson Orr was the groom's best man, while Miss Sue Dixon was bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in white, while the groom was in the customary black. The waiters were in corresponding attire. About sixty guests were present and partook of the elegant dinner served immediately after the ceremony. To say that it was enjoyed by all would hardly do it justice. Amid a shower of rice, and their carriage decorated with old shoes and white ribbons, the newly married pair departed by the overland route for the home of the groom at Petersburg, where they expect to spend a short honeymoon among his friends. The presents were numerous and useful. The groom is an enterprising young man and has made his home in our valley for some time. The bride is quite popular in her set and well fitted for the position she has assumed. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Friday, December, 31, 1897, page 6
