Womer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Womer, jr., of 1616 Seventh avenue, and Miss Eunice Naomi Harmon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. [Charles] H. Harmon, of 2423 Seventh avenue, were married in Cumberland, Md., on Saturday at noon by the Ref. James E. Moffit, pastor of the Presbyterian church of that place. The affair came as a complete surprise to the friends and relatives of the young people, who slipped off without the knowledge of their parents. They returned to the city at 6 o'clock Monday evening and will make their home with the bride's parents. Mr. Womer is employed by the Pennsy company in the Juniata shops. His bride had been employed as a clerk in the C.O.D. office of the Gable & Co. store. Both young people are well known in the city. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, February 7, 1917
