A double wedding was solemnized at 8 o'clock last evening at the residence of Mrs. Keziah Nolan, of 2508 Ninth avenue, when her daughters, Misses Gertrude and Anna, were united in marriage to Mr. George Warren Slippey and Mr. Thomas P. Woomer, respectively, both of Hollidaysburg. Alderman William C. Shuff, of the Fourth ward, officiated at the ceremony, which was witnessed by the immediate friends and members of the two families. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Chevalier, of this city, the latter being a sister of the brides, attended the first couple and Mr. Samuel Nolan, brother of the brides and Miss Mollie Plowman, of this city, were the groomsman and bridesmaid for Miss Anna Nolan and Mr. Woomer. A Victrola rendered the wedding march and the brides were attired in gowns of blue poplin, trimmed in white silk. They carried white Killarney roses. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served at the conclusion of the ceremony. The quartette of newlyweds departed on the 12:20 train this morning for Philadelphia and New York, where they will spend a honeymoon of ten days. Many beautiful and costly gifts were received by the couples, who will temporarily reside at the home of the bride's mother on their return.
