AND MRS. FRANK B. YON [photo] Miss Vivian C. Newquist, daughter of Mrs. Gustav Newquist of Ingallston, Mich., became the bride of Frank B. Yon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Yon of Altoona, in a lovely ceremony in the rectory of St. William's church of Ingallston with Rev. Father Robert Monroe officiating. The bride wore a gown of ivory slipper satin fashioned with a keyhole neckline, beaded leaf trim, a full skirt and train. Her white net fingertip veil fell from a tiara of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white spray orchids in a setting of carnations. Mrs. Harold Reichardt, sister of the bride, was matron of honor attired in a gown of poudre blue net over taffeta and carrying a bouquet of pink roses and carnations. Wilfred C. Newquist, brother of the bride, served as best man. Mrs. Donald Cameron of Evanston, Ill., was soloist accompanied by Miss Kathleen Steber on the organ. The mother of the bride wore a black and white print dress and carried a bouquet of yellow roses. Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served for the families and friends of the couple who left in the early evening for a wedding trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan. For traveling the bride wore a beige gabardine suit, a green reptile bag and shoes and a white straw hat. They will reside in Milfard, Mich., where the bridegroom is a mathematics instructor. The bride is a graduate of Menominne High school and attended the American conservatory of music and Roosevelt college in Chicago. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota national music fraternity for women. The bridegroom is a graduate of Lock Haven Teachers college and did graduate work at Penn State. Out-of-town guests attended the wedding from Evanston and Chicago, Ill., and Houghton, Mich. Altoona Mirror, Tuesday evening, July 13, 1948, page 11
