All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Source: Blair County Will Book ___ Written: May 13, 1884 Kno [sic] all men by these presents, that I Samuel Koon of the city of Altoona, County of Blair, and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament. 1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lovinia J. all my household goods and furniture, absolutely. I also give to my beloved wife the use and occupancy of one half of the house I now live in on 12th Av. in the city of Altoona. Viz the two front parlors and the two front rooms up stairs, free of rent so long as she lives. 2nd I give and bequeath to my daughter Harriet J. the use of the remaining rooms of the house except the back room over the parlor of the north east end of house free of rent as long as her mother lives, if said daughter remains single, but she shall not (word covenant crossed out) rent the same to any other person without the consent of her mother expressed in writing but if said daughter marries during the life time of her mother and desires to occupy said premises she can do so free of rent, providing she keeps up all necessary repairs. 3rd I give and bequeath to my son Samuel, the use and occupancy of the house on 12th Av no. 1514 at seven dollars a month as long as the house on 12th Av. no. 1514. 3. [sic] I give and bequeath the house on 16th st no 1208 (half house) to my son Landis A. 4th I give and bequeath to my son Howard H. the double house on 16th st. no 1408 & 1410. 5. I give and bequeath the house on the cor of 12 av and 16 st to my daughter Harriet J. 6. The house on 16th st no 1210 to be sold and equally divided among my three sons Jonathan, Samuel and Landis. It is my will that my executors shall pay all taxes, insurances, and necessary ... out of the proceeds of the property as long as my wife lives. I also direct that all my just debts, if any, and my funeral expenses be paid and lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved wife and my friend Peter Good of Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., Pa. to be the executors of this my last will and testament. Testimony whereof I have hereunto let my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last will Testament in the presence of the witnessed named below this twentieth day of September (A.D.) eighteen hundred and eighty four.
