All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Source: Blair County Will Book Q Page 231 Written: September 10, 1914 Blair County Will Book Q page 231 Last Will and Testament of David Kuhn I, David Kuhn, of the Borough of Duncansville, County of Blair, State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind and disposing mind, memory, and understanding, do hereby make the following as and for my last will and testament hereby revoking any and all other wills heretofore made by me. First - I order and direct the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses. Second - I give, devise and bequeath all my estate, real, personal and mixed unto the following-1st- To my beloved wife, Mary C. Kuhn, I give and bequeath the house in which we now live, and the interest of one third of my estate as long as she lives; also the furniture. 2nd - To my four children Mertle L. intermarried with W. D. Feathers, & Alpha N. intermarried with J. C. Racy, Milton S., and Velva N. intermarried with Marshal Hesel, I give and bequeath share and share alike of the remainder, with the following conditions: that should any one of my children bring a claim against me, said claim shal [sic] be deducted from his or her share, also a note in bank shal [sic] be deducted from Milton S. my son's share, and the portion paying [sic] to my daughter Velva N. shal [sic] be invested in real estate by my executors herein after named. 3rd - I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife Mary C. Kuhn and W. D. Feathers of Altoona, to be the executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of Sept. 1914. David X (his mark) Kuhn Witness to mark Issac Krider Signed, Sealed, and published by the above named testator as and for his last will and testament written on one sheet of paper and signed by him in our presence at his request and each have fixed our names as witness. D. 1914 before me, Claude Jones, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in for the County of Blair, personally came James Martin, Wm. M. Piper and Issac Krider the subscribing witnesses to the above will, and being duly sworn according to law, did depose and say they were personally present and saw and heard David Kuhn the testator sign by making his mark seal publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his testament and last will, that they signed their names in the presence and at the request of the said testator and in the presence of each other, and that at the time of doing he, the said testator was of perfect and sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief. SS: Before me, the Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in and for the County of Blair, personally came Mary C. Kuhn and W. D. Feathers who, being duly sworn, do depose and say that as executors of the last Will and Testament of David Kuhn deceased, they will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased according to law.
