All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Blair County Courthouse Will File "s" 1894 Written: September 13, 1893 Recorded: October 2, 1894 I William Shinefelt of Allegheny Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania, being weak in body but of sound mind, memory, and understanding do make declare and publish the following as my last will and testament. Viz First: I direct the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses. Second: I give and bequest to my grand daughter "Marine" Zigler, the organ - I give and bequeath to my daughter Mrs. Abby Zigler the rocking chair known as "my chair" - The balance of my household goods, including furniture, carpets, stoves, dishes, etc. I give to my daughter Mrs. Agnes Irwin - I give the horse, my share of wheat and other grain except oats and hay to my son-in-law Wm. H. Irwin - The buggy, wagon, harness, oats, hay to be sold. Third: I give and devise unto my son-in-law George Prince ten (10) acres of my land situated in Allegheny Township on which I now reside which is to be ---or to include the house, barn, orchard, berry patch, and enough other ground to make up the ten acres after taking in all west of the house toward the spring which real estate I value at 2 thousand dollars, and which said son-in-law is to pay as following - one thousand dollars to be paid by him to his wife Mary E. Prince and the other one thousand dollars to be paid after my demise with interest from April 1 - after my death or when he gets possession upon payment of which my Executor to make him a deed therefore - If he declares to take said property at the valuation then my Executor to sell same at probate or private sale and make deed to purchaser and pay out of proceeds the one thousand dollars to my daughter Mary E. Price. The remainder of my real estate shall be divided by Executor so as to give my daughter Mrs. Mary J. Merrit's five acres (5) of ground adjoining what they now own. To my daughter Abby Zigler (5) acres - To my daughter Mrs. Alice Caldwell five (5) acres. To my daughter Mrs. Agnes Irwin seven (7) acres and my son William J. Shinefelt seven (7) acres. The line, to be so run as to make each past along the public road as near alike in distance as possible. . . In case of any dispute on the division lines, then a surveyor and two disinterested persons to make the division. . . to be made according to age of oldest child has the first and so on. I now hold a note against my son William J. dated July 24, 1892 for $800. This was given me to secure me a --- on a judgment to Aud. Biddle. If William pays Aud Biddle judgment this note to be cancelled. If not, it shall be entered against him and be liable for any part of land judgment my estate shall have to pay. Any surplus of my estate remaining after payment of debts, funeral expenses, ec shall be divided equally among my six children. Lastly, I nominate and appoint my son William J.
