REPORT OF PHOTOS CONTRIBUTED THROUGH 2/2/2010 - ALBUMS - HARNISH-WATERS FAMILY PHOTOS? http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/photos/merlino.htm These unidentified pictures taken by Altoona photographers are possibly members of the William H. and Jennie Margaret Harnish Watters family who lived in Blair County. They were found in the attic of the son of Juniata B. Watters, who lived in Lebanon. They could also possibly be members of the Leo / Lucken / Donahoe family of Bedford County who moved to Altoona, Blair County. James and Elizabeth Leo Donahoe lived in Altoona from around 1910 until after his death in 1931. Extended members of Elizabeth's family (descendants of Anthony and Anna Lucken), with whom she was close, lived in Altoona around the same time Elizabeth did. If you recognize anyone in these photos, please contact Linda Merlino. SELECTIONS FROM MRS. ABIGAIL ANN (BLACK) ENGLAND'S SCRAPBOOK Altoona, Blair Co, PA http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/1picts/englandscrapbook/anniesscra pbook.htm [Note: Abigail Ann (Black) England, wife of Isaac England, was a resident of Altoona whose scrapbook is probably dated from Conemaugh in Cambria County because she was visiting a relative there in 1885 when one of her children was born, according to a Black/England researcher. I am not related to this family, and the scrapbook was purchased on eBay. - Judy Banja jbanja@comcast.net] Inside Front Cover ~ Eli Green, of Altoona Marvels in Cutlery Buffalo Bill Page 1 ~ Burnt With Hot Coal Ashes - Edith England Isaac and Annie England - Crystal Wedding Isaac M. The metal clasp of the album has a stamped patent date of 1882. Most of the photos are full size cabinet cards, but there are four tintypes and a photograph, and several small cabinet cards in the album, as well. The person from whom the album was purchased reports it was purchased about ten years ago at an estate auction, perhaps in the Baker's Summit or Roaring Spring area.
