Jeffersonian Republican. (Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: December 21, 1876
At Standing Stone, Bradford county, Pa., December 5th, 1876, Lydia S., wife of J. S.
Shackelton, and daughter of Vancura and Jane M. Bush, aged 38 years, 7 months and 1
day, after a long and painful illness of a stricture of the throat. She was a very
gentle and hopeful sufferer until the last. She leaves a husband, two children and
many sympathising friends to mourn her loss.
