Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Richland Township A-M LEVI O. BIEHN county treasurer, P.O. Richland Center, was born in 1845. Michael Biehn, his grandfather, was a native of this county and had seven children. Samuel, his father, deceased in 1848, and Mary (Ort), his mother, is now living. They are the parents of five children, two of whom, Samuel and William, are deceased. Our subject was married in 1868 to Kate, daughter of Jacob and Deborah Clymer, of this county. This couple are the parents of six children: Edwin C. (deceased), Andrew C., Flora C., William M., Charles C. and Mary Deborah. At the age of 14 years Mr. Biehn learned the trade of a shoemaker, which occupation he followed till 1881, when he engaged in farming. He has always been a stanch democrat, and in the fall of 1886 his fellow-citizens elected him to the office of county treasurer, which position he fills in a creditable manner. He was a school director of this township for eight years and for six years agent for the Lehigh Insurance company. He is a member of the Reformed church.
