Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Bensalem Township WILLIAM E. HARVEY farmer, P.O. Eddington, was born in Philadelphia, September 3, 1852. His parents were Josiah L. and Caroline F. (Randolph) Harvey, the latter born in Newfoundland and the former in Philadelphia. They were of English descent. His father was a dealer in real estate in Philadelphia. His family consists of seven sons and one daughter. William E. is the second. He was reared in Philadelphia and attended the common school. He has always liked to be on the farm, which has been owned by his father for over thirty years. The farm is situated in Bensalem township, on the bank of the Delaware river, and is well improved. Our subject has made many valuable improvements and has done much to beautify the grounds. He has spent most of his time here since he left school. He was married in New Jersey to Laura P., daughter of John Henry. She is of English descent, and a member of the Presbyterian church. His parents were member of the Society of Friends. He is a democrat and a member of the Masonic fraternity.
