Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Bristol Township B. S. JOHNSON merchant, P.O. Bristol, was born in Bristol July 12, 1862, and is a son of Samuel and Margaret (Lyle) Johnson, natives of Ireland. B. S. is the sixth in a family of seven children. He was reared in Bristol, where he received his education. He first was clerk in a store, and subsequently entered the employment of the Pennsylvania railroad as a brakeman. He was also baggage-master and served two years as conductor on a Pullman car. In 1883 he and his elder brother, John L., established the present business, the firm name being John L. & B. S. Johnson. They deal in ready-made clothing. The firm have the confidence of their customers, and their business and stock are constantly increasing. Mr. Johnson is prudent and industrious, and has made his own way in the world. The present business is a successful one. He is a democrat politically.
