Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Haycock Township CHARLES THOMAS LEITCH druggist, P.O. Quakertown, was born in Hilltown township, Bucks county, in 1865. His father, Thomas Leitch, was a native of Philadelphia and came to Bucks county about 1860. He married Catherine Walp, a daughter of Felix Walp, of Richland township, by whom he had two children, Charles Thomas and Kate Alice (Mrs. Benner). Thomas Leitch died in 1868. Charles T. attended the public schools until the age of 18, when he took up the study of medicine, William M. Bowen, of Philadelphia, being his preceptor. Mr. Leitch has been a student at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and contemplates graduating at that institution. In 1886 he purchased the drug store of S. F. Penrose at this place, and is continuing the business at the old stand, having always on hand a stock of pure, fresh drugs. Mr. Leitch purchases his stock direct from Philadelphia and New York. He is a member of the St. John's Lutheran church, and is an active member of the order of the Knights of the Golden Eagle, besides has served six months as master of records for the Quakertown Castle, No. 118, K. G. E.
