Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Falls Township HENRY LOVETT railroad section foreman, P.O. Tullytown, was born in Falls township, February 28, 1830. His parents, Joseph and Susan (Rue) Lovett, were natives of Bucks county and of English origin. His father was a shoemaker in early life and afterward a farmer. He died in 1840 in Falls township, where he lived for many years. The subject of this sketch is the seventh of a family of ten children, all of whom grew to maturity. Henry was reared in Falls township and attended the district school. He learned the carpenter's trade, which business he followed until 1881. Since then he has been in the employ of the Pennsylvania railroad company as section foreman at Tullytown. He is a democrat and is a member of the Knights of Pythias. He has been successful in life and is the owner of a farm in Falls township. His ancestors were members of the Society of Friends. He has held the office of justice of the peace, and is notary public at the present time. He is president of the board of directors of the William Penn building association, and of the board of trustees of the Tullytown cemetery.
