Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Bristol Township R. J. MILLER farmer, P.O. Emilie, was born in Philadelphia, November 29, 1851, and is a son of William and Susanna (Shuttlewood) Miller, natives of England. His father was a cabinet-maker by trade, but later followed farming for many years. His family consisted of four children, two of whom are still living. R. J. was the youngest of the family and was reared in Bucks county, where he received his education. He also attended Andalusia college for a time. He chose farming as his occupation, in which location he has been successful, and is now one of the leading farmers in Bristol township. In 1882 he married Kate, daughter of Robert Banford, who is of English descent. They have two children: William R. and Vernon B. (twins). In politics Mr. Miller is a democrat.
