Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Falls Township WILLIAM S. MULL secretary and treasurer of the Bucks County Contribution Insurance company, P.O. Morrisville, was born in Falls township, Bucks county, November 30, 1815, and is a son of Martin and Lydia (Hance) Mull, also natives of Falls township, and of English and German descent. Both his paternal and maternal ancestors were among the early settlers of this place, his father and grandfather being farmers in this county all their lives. Our subject was the second in a family of five children. He was reared on the farm, and received his earliest education in Falls township, and subsequently attended the high school in Burlington, N. J. His first occupation was that of a teacher. In 1846 he embarked in the coal business, which occupied him until 1880, when he accepted his present position. He was elected treasurer by the company, and was appointed secretary by the board of trustees. In 1858 he married Mary, daughter of Isaac and Lydia (Anderson) Parsons. This lady is of English origin. Mr. and Mrs. Mull have two children: Lydia H. and Margaret R.
