Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Durham Township NEWTON S. RICE physician, P.O. Durham, was born September 5, 1850, in Springfield township, Bucks county. His parents are Thomas and Mary Rice, also of Bucks county. Newton S. received his early education in Bucks county, where he always lived. He took a course at the University of Pennsylvania and afterward graduated in medicine from the Long Island College hospital. Dr. Rice is a successful physician, and now holds the office of school director. He is a member of the German Reformed church, and in politics is a republican. He has never been married.
