Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Plumstead Township HOWARD Y. RICH farmer, P.O. Dyerstown, was born in Plumstead township October 17, 1859, and is a son of Daniel and Hannah (Yarnall) Rich, the latter a native of Delaware county and the former of Bucks county and of English descent. The great-grandfather was Alexander Rich. The grandfather, John Rich, was a farmer and resided in Plumstead township. The father of our subject has three living children: Deborah, Howard Y. and Rachel. Howard Y. was reared on a farm and has always been a farmer. In 1885 he bought the farm where he now lives, which is known as the "Green Valley farm" and is very valuable. He is an industrious and intelligent farmer. In 1875 he married Mary A. Stradling, by whom he has one child, Edward. Mr. and Mrs. Rich are members of the Society of Friends.
