Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Falls Township HECTOR C. WATSON retired farmer, P.O. Fallsington, was born in Falls township November 23, 1826. He is a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Thompson) Watson, the former born in England, the latter in Ireland. His father was a farmer, and settled in Bucks county when he first came to America in 1816. His mother came to this country in 1804. The male members of the family have been farmers for many generations, and yet own land in England. Hector C. was the third in a family of five children. He attended the schools of Falls township, and a boarding school in Montgomery county three years, after which he taught school for three years, since which time he has made farming the business of his life. He bought the present farm in 1852. He was married in 1852 to Mary R., daughter of John B. and Sarah (Browne) Brown. She is a descendant of General Brown. Their children are: John, who is in business in Philadelphia; James, a farmer; Joseph, a bookkeeper; Robert, in college; Anna, wife of Frank Warrington; and Sallie, married to R. H. Hanes, of New Jersey (deceased). Three of the boys graduated at the commercial college at Trenton. Mr. Watson is a republican, and has been school director for several years. Mrs. Watson died November 25, 1885.
