Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Haycock Township JACOB D. WEIERBACH farmer, P.O. Applebachsville, was born in 1833 in Haycock township. He is the son of Isaac and Mary (Derr) Weierbach, who had eleven children, of whom Jacob was the sixth. He was born and reared on his father's farm and attended school mostly during the winter months till he was 17 years of age. He married Annie Mary, daughter of Leonard and Mary (Rice) Laudenberger, of Lower Saucon township. Nine children were the result of this union: Titus H., married; Sallie, Ida, Ella, James Monroe, Annie, Isaac Jacob (deceased), Warren Oscar (deceased), Kate (deceased). In 1867 Mr. Weierbach purchased one hundred and two acres of land of which he has about eighty-five acres under cultivation. He has always been a hard-working man and has been successful. He is a member of the German Reformed church and a democrat.
