Battle; A. Warner & Co.; 1887 Middletown Township M. V. B. WHITE farmer, P.O. Hulmeville, was born in Middletown June 20, 1836, and is a son of Malachi and Letitia White, natives of Bucks county. His father followed farming in Middletown township all his life. He was of English descent, and died in 1868, aged 80 years. He had twelve children, of whom five grew to maturity. Mr. White's ancestors were among the earliest English settlers of Bucks county, both families generally following farming. Malachi White was a successful farmer. He was a prominent man in his time. He was a democrat politically and served one term as county commissioner. His son, M. V. B., made farming his business, and at the present time is the owner of a well-improved farm in Middletown township, where he resides. In 1865 he married Mary E., daughter of Euclydus and Elizabeth (Brown) Stackhouse. Her parents were among the earliest English settlers of Pennsylvania. Mr. White is a democrat politically.
