John Nicholls Elias Nicholls to Mahlon Stacy & Henry Baker, 1688 To all People to whom this present writing shall come we John Nichols and Elias Nicholls brother of the said John both of the County of Bucks and Province of Pennsylvania send Greeting Know Yee that we the said John Nicholls and Elias Nicholls for divers good causes and considerations us hereunto especially moving have mad ordained constituted and in our stead and place put and deputed and by these presents do make or ordain constitute and in our place and stead put and deputy our trusty and loving friends Mahlon Stacy of the Province of West New Jersey Yeoman and Henry Baker of the County of Bucks and Province of Pennsylvania Yeoman to be our true and lawful attorney attorneys irrevocable for us and in our names and to our own proper use & behoof to ask demand and require sue for recover and receive all such rents arrearages of rents yearly payments which nor are or hereafter shall be due and payable or any way belonging to us from any person or persons whatsoever and for default of payment of any rent or rents or arrearages of rents which now is or hereafter shall be due to us to enter in all or any of our lands and tenements or hereditaments or any part thereof in in their name of the whole & posessin9o thereof to take and to make sale & delivery in our names any lease or leases of ejectment therefrom for any term or number of years as in such cases is usual & to take & use all lawful ways or means for recovery of the premises and to contract for let set bargain and sell all or any of our land tenements or hereditaments whatsoever but most especially what land we have in the County of Bucks & Province of Pennsylvania aforesaid for any term or number of years or otherwise as they shall think fit giving and by these presents granting unto our said attorney's our whole power and lawful authority in the execution and performance of all and singular the premises and to make any composition and agreement concerning the premises and to make seal and deliver or otherwise execute any acquittance or acquittances or sufficient discharges concerning the premises or any part thereof for us and in our names or otherwise as the cause shall require And generally to do accomplish determine execute all and every every such further and other lawful act and acts devise and devises whatsoever which in or about the premises shall be unto our said Attorneys thought fit to be done as fully and amply in way respect as we ourselves might or could do if we were personally present which we promise to allow of and confirm by these presents.
