Deed: Jos Kirkbride to Randal Blackshaw, 1698 To all people before whom these presents shall come Whereas there is a certain tract of land lying and being the county of Bucks and province of Pennsylvania beginning at a corner post of Robert Lucas land thence by the same east two hundred eighty four perches thence south eighty five pearches thence west two hundred eighty four perches thence north eighty five perches to the place of beginning Containing and laid out for one hundred and fifty acres of land which land was granted to Joseph Kirkbride of the aforesaid county of Bucks yeoman and was confirmed to him and his heirs by a deed from Edward Smith under his hand and seal dated the tenth day of the third month 1689 for the considerations therein mentioned as also another parcel of land lying and being in the said county of Bucks beginning at a corner stake thence north one hundred and eighty perches to a post by the meadow side formerly Randal Blackshaws of the aforesaid county of Bucks and province of Pennsylvania yeoman thence west thirteen and a half rods by the meadow side thence north seventy two perches to a corner tree thence west one hundred thirty four perches to a corner white oak thence south forty five perches to a corner black oak thence east forty two perches to a black oak thence east south east fifty two perches to a white oak thence south one hundred and ninety perches to a white oak thence east sixty three perches to the first mentioned stake containing and laid out for one hundred and twelve acres which said land Ralph Cowgill did grant and confirm to the said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs by a deed dated under his hand and seal the first day of the first month 1696 as also a certain parcel of land lying on the north side of the road that leads from the meeting house belonging to the Falls of Delaware and the meeting house near Neshaminah being all the land lying on the north side of the said road which the aforesaid Randal Blackshaw did formally grant and confirm unto the said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs by deed dated under his hand and seal the first day of the first month s 1696/7 being part of the four hundred acres by the said deed granted to the same more or less Together with all messuages and tenements houses barns or other buildings orchards gardens meadows or meadow land ways waters watercourses privileges improvements and all other the advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to the said three parcels of land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate right title and interest use posession propertie claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Joseph Kirkbride of in and to the same with the reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof with all deeds patents or other writings which do only and alone concern the same (except fifty acres) of land which is already granted and confirmed out of the first mentioned tract of one hundred and fifty acres in fee simple unto Peter Webster and confirmed to him by deed dated under the hand and seal of the said Joseph Kirkbride the 8th day of the 10th month 1696 being laid out as appears by the said deed for about fifty one acres and a half according to the limits and bounds and boundaries in the said deed limited and expressed be the same more or less To have and to hold the first mentioned parcel of land except what is already granted to the said Peter Webster as before excepted and the said one hundred and twelve acres and the said parcel of land lying on the north side o the aforesaid road be the same more or less with the premises and appurtenances to him the said Randal Blackshaw his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of him the said Randal Blackshaw his heirs and assigns forever Under the yearly rents due or to become due to the proprietorie of the aforesaid province his heirs or successors And the said Joseph Kirkbride for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth warrant promise and grant to and with the said Randal Blackshaw this heirs and assigns that they the aforesaid three-parcels of land except as before excepted and premises with the appurtenances to him the said Randal Blackshaw and his heirs and assigns against him the said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs and against all other persons whatsoever claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any of them or by this their or any of ther means private procurement or consent shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Joseph Kirkbride hath hereunto set his hand and seal the first day of the first month anno Domi one thousand six hundred ninety eight 1698/9. Recorded the 28 1/mo 1699 notes The deed was acknowledged and delivered at the Court session of the ì8th day of the first month, 1699,î and Randal transferred the properties to his son Nehemiah the same day.
