Deed: Randal Blackshaw to Nehemiah Blackshaw, 1696 Know all men by these presents that there is a certain tract of land lying and being in the county of Bucks and province of Pennsylvania upon the main or chief branch of Neshaminah creek and adjoining to a certain tract of land laid out to John Clows late of the aforesaid county which said lands was laid out to Randal Blackshaw of the aforesaid county province for three hundred acres as par of this land purchased from James Harrison late of the aforesaid county deceased also five hundred acres more untaken up from the said lands and confirmed by said Harrison in his life time to said Blackshaw his heirs and assigns by his deeds of lease and release dated the last day of the sixth month and the first day of the seventh month one thousand six hundred eighty two Now the said Randal Blackshaw for the consideration of a certain sum of money to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he the said Randal Blackshaw doth hereby acknowledge to have had and received from Nehemiah Blackshaw son of the said Randal Blackshaw and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said Nehemiah Blackshaw his heirs executors and administrators forever and for the natural affection which the said Randal Blackshaw hath and beareth to his said son Nehemiah Blackshaw and for divers other good and reasonable causes and valuable considerations him thereunto moveing he the said Randal Blackshaw hath given granted aliened bargained sold enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth clearly and absolutely give grant alien bargain sell enfeoff and confirm unto the said Nehemiah Blackshaw his heirs and assigns the before mentioned eight hundred acres of land to be held an enjoyed with the premises and appurtenances and all the rents profits improvements and advantages made or thereon to be made to the only use and behoof of the said Randal Blackshaw during his natural life without impeachment or waste and thereafter the decease of the said Randal Blackshaw and from thenceforth all the estate right title interest use posession propertie claim and demand of him the said Randal Blackshaw his executors administrators or assigns of in and to the same with the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof To have and to hold the said eight hundred acres of land and premises with the appurtenances and every part and parcel of the same from and after the decease of his said father Randal Blackshaw as before expressed to the said Nehemiah Blackshaw his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of him the said Nehemiah Blackshaw his heirs and assigns forever under the yearly rents then due and from thenceforth to become due to the proprietarie his heirs and successors In witness whereof the said Randal Blackshaw hath hereunto put his hand and seal the first day of the first month one thousand six hundred ninety six 1696 With the words (also five hundred acres more untaken up part of the said land) interlined in the fifth line before sealing hereof Randal Blackshaw (seal) Sealed and delivered in the presence of us Jacob Janney Enoch Yardley Joseph Milnor Bucks ss (County seal) The 10th day of the first month 1696/7 the within conveyance was by the within named Randal Blackshaw delivered in open court of the aforesaid county unto Joseph Kirkbride for the use of the within named Nehemiah Blackshaw Certified under my hand and county seal Phineas Pemberton Recorded the 6th day 2/mo 1697
