Deed: Saml Burges to Jos Burges, 1707 To all People to whom these presents shall come Samuel Burges Junior of Bristol in ye County of Bucks in ye Province of Pennsylvania Carpenter Sendeth Greeting Whereas there is two lots or pieces of ground Situate and being in Bristol aforesaid Containing in breadth twenty six foot and in length from Ratclife Street to Delaware River bounded Westward with ye said Samuel Burges's ground and Eastward with Samuel Burges's ground The other lot lies on ye Northerly side of ye said Ratclife Street opposite to ye aforementioned lot continuing in breadth twenty three foot an din length form ye said street to Joseph Kirkbride's lot holding ye said breadth throughout and bounded Eastward and Westward as the other Which said lots was granted to ye said Samuel Burges and to his heirs and assigns forever by a certain Deed Poll duly executed under ye hand and seal of Anthony Burton bearing date ye fourteenth day of March Anno Domini 1704/5 and acknowledged in open Court in ye said County ye 15th day of ye same Month 1704/5 as by ye said Deed may more at large appear Now Know Ye that ye said Samuel Burges for and in consideration of ye sum of ten pounds of current silver money of Pennsylvania aforesaid to him in hand paid by Joseph Burges of the same County Yeoman ye receipt whereof ye said Samuel Burges doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth acquit exonerate and discharge ye said Joseph Burges his heirs and assigns by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto ye said Joseph Burges ye said two lots or parcels of land Situate bounded and being as is herein above set down and described Together with all ye ways waters lights easements rights liberties privileges improvements advantages hereditaments and appurtenances to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining and al lye estate right title interest use possession property claim and demand whatsoever of him ye said Samuel Burges of in or to ye same and ye reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof To Have and to hold ye said two lots of ground and all other ye hereby granted premises and every part and parcel of the same with their appurtenances unto ye said Joseph Burges and his heirs to ye only proper use and behoof of him ye said Joseph Burges his heirs and assigns forever Under ye yearly quit rents hereafter accruing for ye same to ye chief Lord of ye fee thereof And ye said Samuel Burges for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant grant promise and agree to and with ye said Joseph Burges his heirs and assigns by these presents that he ye said Samuel Burges his heirs executors and administrators ye said two lots of ground and all other ye premises hereby granted mentioned or intended to be granted with their and every of their appurtenances unto ye said Joseph Burges his heirs and assigns against him ye said Samuel Burges and his heirs and against all other persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents And ye said Samuel Burges for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns doth further covenant grant and agree to and with ye said Joseph Burges his heirs executors and administrators that he ye said Joseph Burges or his or their under tenants shall have free liberty to and for ye drawing of water at a certain well now in ye possession of ye said Samuel with free egress and regress to and for carrying away ye same In Witness whereof ye said Samuel Burges hath hereunto set his hand and seal dated ye tenth day of December in ye year of her majesties reign over England etc ye Sixth anno Domini 1707. Be it remembered that the Tenth day of December Anno Domini 1707 before me Thomas Stevenson one of ye Justices of ye Peace of ye County of Bucks came ye within named Samuel Burges Junr in his proper person and then and there brought this writing or conveyance which he acknowledged to by his deed and desired that ye same may be enrolled or recorded as his deed according to an act of Assembly of this Province lately made and provided In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal ye day and year first above written Tho Stevenson (seal) Be it remembered that I Jeremiah Langhorne Recorder of Deeds for ye County of Bucks was present when ye above named Samuel Burges did before ye said Justice acknowledged ye said writing to be his Deed Whereupon ye said Justice having certified ye said acknowledgment made ye day and year and in manner aforesaid did deliver ye said writing to me to be entered of record and ye same is recorded ye twenty sixth day of February Anno Domini 1707.
