Deed: Randal Blackshaw to Joseph Kirkbride, 1693 To all People before whom these Presents shall come Know Ye that Randel Blackshaw of the County of Bucks and Province of Pennsylvania Yeoman for the consideration of six pounds eight shillings current mony of the aforesaid Province to him in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery hereof by Joseph Kirkbride of the aforesaid County and Province Yeoman the receipt whereof the said Randel Blackshaw hereby acknowledgeth and himself therewith fully satisfied and contented and thereof hereby acquiteth and dischargeth the said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs executors administrators and assigns he the said Randel Blackshaw hath given granted aliened bargained sold enfeofed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien bargain sell enfeof and confirm unto the said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns a certain price of meadow land lying and being in the aforesaid County of Bucks and being part of this great meadow lying near his dwelling house in the aforesaid County Beginning at a corner swamp oak standing by the meadow side thence running South across the said Meadow to a small Maple thence along by the meadow side thirteen poles and a half to a stake thence across the meadow North to a stake thence along the meadow side thirteen rods and a half to the first mentioned tree Containing between three and four acres of meadow land As also one piece of upland or wood land situate in the aforesaid County Beginning at a small black oak standing by the road side that leads between the Meeting house belonging to the Falls and the Meeting house belonging to Neshaminah near the corner of the said Randal Blackshaws plantation lying by the said roadside from the said black oak North by a small Chestnut tree to the line of Joseph Kirkbride's land now in his posession twelve pole then along the said line until it meet with the said road thence along the said road side to the first mentioned oak containing about four acres be the said two parcels of land more or less which said meadow land and woodland is part and parcel of the land granted to the said Randel Blackshaw by James Harrison late of the aforesaid County deceased by his deeds of lease and release dated the thirteenth day of the six month and first day of the seventh month one thousand six hundred eighty two and the remainders rents issues and profits thereof As also the reversions and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of him the said Randel Blackshaw of in an to the said two parcels of land with their and every of their rights members improvements and appurtenances To Have and to Hold the said peice or parcel of meadow land as also the said peice or parcel of wood land with they and every of their appurtenances unto the said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns forever to the only use and behoof of the said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns forever at or under the yearly rent of one ear of Indian corn if lawfully demanded upon the first day of the first month yearly by the said Randel Blackshaw his heirs and assign And the said Randel Blackshaw doth covenant promise and grant for himself and his hers that they the said two parcels of land before mentioned hereby granted and intended to be granted unto the said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs against the said Randel Blackshaw and his heirs and against all other persons claiming and to claim by from or under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend And that the said Randel Blackshaw hath not done nor suffered any act whatsoever to be done whereby the said granted premises is are can shall or may be by any means lawfully impeached charged or incumbered. In Witness Whereof the said Randel Blackshaw hath hereunto put his hand and seal the fourteenth day of the twelfth month one thousand six hundred ninety and three 1693 Randel (seal) Blackshaw Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us with the word [the] in the tenth line and word [suffered] in the thirty first line interlined before the sealing an delivery hereof Richard Hough the mark I of Jane Duncan Phineas Pemberton Bucks ss (the County seal) The 9th day of the 7th month 1696. The within conveyance was by Phineas Pemberton Attorney to the within named Randel Blackshaw acknowledged and delivered in open Court in the aforesaid County unto the within named Joseph Kirkbride.
