Bond: Joseph Kirkbride et al to Arthur Cooke et al, 1687 Know all men by these Presents that we Joseph Kirkbride of the County of Bucks and Province of Pennsylvania Carpenter and Robert Lucas of the said County and Province Yeoman are firmly bound unto Arthur Cooke Thomas Janney William Yardley and Nicholas Wallin Justices of the Peace for the said County of Bucks in the penal sum of twenty four pounds lawful pay of this Province to be paid to the said Arthur Cooke Thomas Janney William Yardley and Nicholas Wallin their executors administrators assigns or successors to their lawful Attorney to the which payment will and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our executors and administrators firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals the fourteenth day of the tenth month 1687 being the third year of King James the Second his reign and seventh year of the Proprietarys Government. The Condition of this obligation is such that whereas the above bounded Joseph Kirkbride on the day of the date above mentioned hath in his hands possession and custody of twelve pounds current money of this Province being Orphanage money appertaining unto Henry Comly son and orphan to Henry Comley late of the said County of Bucks Yeoman deceased as may more at alrge appear by the records of the Orphans Court of the aforesaid County if therefore the said Joseph Kirkbride and Robert Lucas their heirs executors or administraotrs or any of htem do well and truly pay or cause to be contented satisfied and paid the said sum of twelve pounds with lawful interest for the same at or before the thirteenth day of the order and appointment of the Orphans Court of the aforesaid County of Bucks that then this obligation to be void and of none effect else the same to stand remain and be in full force and virtue.
