Deed: Nehemiah Blackshaw to Joseph Kirkbride, 1706 To all People to whom these presents shall come Nehemiah Blackshaw of ye County of bucks and Province of Pennsylvania Yeoman Sendeth Greeting Whereas there is a certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in ye aforesaid County of Bucks Beginning at a corner stake thence North one hundred and eighty perches to a post by ye meadow side standing by ye land of Joseph Kirkbride thence West thirteen perches and one half perch by ye said meadow side thence North seventy two perches to a corner tree thence West one hundred thirty four perches to a corner white oak thence South forty five perches to another black oak thence forty two perches to a black oak thence East Southeast fifty two perches to a white oak thence South one hundred and ninety perches to a white oak thence East fifty three perches to ye first Mentioned stake Containing and laid out for one hundred and twelve acres Which said land was granted and confirmed unto ye said Nehemiah by his father Randall Blackshaw late of ye said County deceased as by one indenture bearing date ye second day of ye first Month Anno Domini 1698, duly executed under ye hand and seal of ye said Randall acknowledged in Court and recorded in ye Rolls office for ye said County in Book B, Vol. 1, page 241 242 may more at large appear. Now Know Ye that ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw for and in consideration of ye sum of one hundred pounds current silver money of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by Joseph Kirkbride of ye said County of Bucks Yeoman the receipt whereof ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth hereby acquit release exonerate and discharge ye said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns forever by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto ye said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns all and singular ye said tract of land Situate bounded and being as is herein above set down and described Together with all ye ways waters water courses meadows woods swamps criples fishings fowlings huntings rights liberties privileges improvements advantages and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all ye estate right title interest use posession property claim and demand whatsoever of him ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw of in or to ye same and ye reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof To Have and To Hold ye said one hundred and twelve acres of land and all other ye hereby granted premises with ye appurtenances unto ye said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs to the only use benefit and behoof of him ye said Joseph Kirkbride and his heirs and assigns forever Under ye yearly quit rent hereafter accrueing for ye same to ye proprietary or Chief Lord of ye fee thereof And of ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators covenant promise grant and agree to and with ye said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns by these presents that he ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw his heirs executors executors and administrators ye said tract of land and all other ye premises hereby granted with ye appurtenances and every part thereof at all times hereafter unto ye said Joseph Kirkbride his heirs and assigns against him ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw and his heirs and against all other persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents free and clear and freely and clearly acquitted and discharged of an d from all manner of former and other grants bargains sales jointures cowers mortgages taxes liens estates titles charges impositions and incumbrances whatsoever had or made done or suffered to be had made or done by ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw or his said father Randal Blackshaw or by any other person or persons whatsoever at any time preceding the day of ye date hereof (the yearly quit rents before mentioned only excepted) In Witness Whereof ye said Nehemiah Blackshaw hath hereunto set his hand and seal dated ye eleventh day of December in ye fifth year of ye reign of Queen Anne over England etc Anno Domini 1706. Nehemiah Blackshaw (seal) Sealed and Delivered in ye presence of us Roger Moone James Moone Jeremiah Langhorne be it remembered that ye seventh day of December in ye year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and six before me Samuel Dark one of ye Justices of ye County of Bucks came ye within named Nehemiah Blackshaw in his proper persons and then and there brought this writing or conveyance which he acknowledged to be his deed and declared that ye same may be recorded or enrolled as his deed according to an act of assembly of this Province made and provided. Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal ye day and year first above written. Samuel Darke (seal) Be it remembered that I Jeremiah Langhorne Recorded of Deeds for ye County of Bucks was present when ye above named Nehemiah Blackshaw did before ye said Justice acknowledged ye said writing to be his deed Whereupon ye said Justice having certified ye said acknowledgment made ye day and year and in manner aforesaid did deliver ye said writing to me entered of record and ye same is recorded ye eighteenth day of December Anno Domini 1706.
