Indenture: Deed Saml Burges to Richd Lundy, 1690 This Indenture Made the four and twentieth day of the Third Month one thousand six hundred eighty nine being the fifth year of King James the Second his Reign over England etc and in the year of the Proprietarys Government Between Samuel Burges of the County of Bucks in the Province of Pennsylvania of the one part and Richard Lundy of the said County and Province aforesaid of the other part Whereas John Rowland and Thomas Rowland his brother both in the County of bucks in the said Province of Pennsylvania aforesaid by their Indenture of bargain and Sale bearing date the first day of the tenth Month in the year one thousand and six hundred eighty five in the second year of King James the second etc and in the fifty of the Proprietarys Government etc did grant bargain and sell unto the abovesaid Samuel Burges his heirs and assigns a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Bucks aforesaid bounded on the Northerly side with the lands of James Hill on the Easterly side with ye great Timber swamp on the Southerly side with a parcel of vacant land and the lands of Randolph Blackshaw Containing by estimation two hundred acres more or less as by the said Deed recourse being thereunto had more at large will appear Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Samuel Burges for an din consideration of the sum of ten pounds the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged where with the said Samuel Burges acknowledgeth himself fully satisfied and contented and thereof clearly acquitteth and dischargeth the said Richard Lundy his heirs and executors and administrators he the said Samuel Burges hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain and sell unto the said his heirs and assigns forever one full hundred acres of land to be divided severed and measured out of the before mentioned parcel and under and within these following courses bounds and limits to wit Beginning at two small black oak trees standing upon the creek and runs thence North Northwest three degrees Westerly three hundred and sixteen pole along by the vacant lands and the lands of Randolph Blackshaw to a white oak tree marked for a corner standing upon the side of the meadow then Southeast and by East two hundred and eight pole to the Creek in the side of the timber swamp then along the extreme borders of the said timer swamp upon the several courses to first mentioned station (within which bounds are enclosed three acres of land formerly sold by the said Samuel Burges unto Randolph Blackshaw and his heirs but wholly excepted out of this deed of bargain and sale unto the said Randolph and his heirs) Together with all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Samuel Burges of in unto and out of the said hundred acres of land hereby granted with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging. To Have and To Hold the said hundred acres of land with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said Richard Lundy his heirs and assigns forever to the only use and behoof of him the said Richard Lundy his heirs and assigns forever Yielding and paying unto the said Samuel Burges his heirs and assigns at of upon the first day of the first Month I every year one English Silver shilling or the value thereof in coin current. In Witness whereof he the said Samuel Burges hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Samuel Burgess (seal) Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Richard Ridgway Ezra Grunstak Joseph English Memorandum that the within mentioned to be excepted three acres of land to Randolph Blackshaw and heirs is before the sealing and delivery of these presents assigned and confirmed unto the said Richard Lundy his heirs and assigns forever for a valuable consideration by the within named Randolph Blackshaw and Samuel Burges in open Court held for the County of Bucks the 12th of March in the year 1689 then sealed and delivered.
