  Russell C. Thompson, son of George H. Thompson, of Philadelphia, formerly
  of Newtown, who on February 6th was drowned in the Schuylkill river while 
  attempting to rescue a motorboat, was buried in the Newtown cemetery
  last Sunday afternoon. The young man was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
  Thompson and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Briggs and had numerous friends 
  here. The body was not recovered from the water until Friday, almost a week 
  after the sad accident, although every effort was made, and the long strain 
  has added greatly to the overwhelming bereavement of his relatives.
