The following is a transcription of the Will of Peter Stout dated 15 Feb 1806: "In the Name of God Amen I Peter Stout the elder of the Township of Rockhill in the County of Bucks and State of Pennsylvania being weak of Body but of Sound and Disposing mind Memory and understanding Do this fifteenth Day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousend Eight Hundred and Six Make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and form as follows ?Imprimi.. I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator and my Body to the Earth to be Decently and in a Christian Like Manner Burrid [sic] In hopes of a joyful Resurrection through the Merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ: and as for the Temporal Estate wherewith it has Pleased God to Bless me I Dispose thereof in the following Manner first I order my just Debts and funeral Expences [sic] to be Paid by my Executors herein after named out of my Estate; Item I give and Bequeath unto my Beloved Wife Catherine and my Daughter Mary Catherina the Farm or Plantation on which I now Dwell with all its appurtenances to be held by them as tennants in common During the natural life of my Said wife and if my said Daughter should happen to die in the lifetime of my Said wife then in such case I give and Devise the whole of the said farm or Plantation to my Said wife Living her natural life which with the bequest hereafter made to her Shall be taken by her in full Consideration and in liew of her Dower I give and bequeath to my said wife one Bed Bedstad [sic] and apparel with one third Part of my other Houshold [sic] furniture one Cow the Grain of all kinds I may have at the time of my Decease and as much Kitchen Furniture as may be necessary for her use during her natural life I Give and Bequeath to my S[ai]d Daughter Mary Catherina Seventy five Pounds with a Bed and Bedstead and apparel to be Paid to her after my Deceas[e]; Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Fifty Pounds two Cows first Choice a Bed with a new Feather Bed & Bedstead apparel a new Chest two Iron Potts [sic] two Kettles and leadels [sic] the fifty Pounds in Money is to be Paid to her after my Said wifes Decease; Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Magdelena Fifty Pounds two Cows Second Choice a Bed with a new feather Bed Bedstead & apparel a new Chest two Iron Potts [sic] two Kettles and leadels [sic] the fifty Pounds in Money is to be Paid to her after my Said wifes Decease Item I Give & Bequeath to Jacob, Mary, John, Daniel and Polly Ness the Sons and Daughters of my Daughter Eave the late wife of Jacob Ness the Sum of Twenty five Pounds lawfull [sic] Money of Pennsylvania to be Equally Devided [sic] between them or the Surviver [sic] or Survivers [sic] of them and the heirs of Such Surviver [sic] or Survivers [sic] forever to be Paid to them by my Executors out of my Estate one Year after my Said wifes Decease, and it is further my will and I do order and direct my Executors herein after named to Sell the residue of my Personal Property as Soon as Conveniently may be after my Decease and after the Payment of my Debts and funeral Expences [sic] the [sic] appropriate the mon[e]y from thence ariseng [sic] to the Payment of the herein above Specified legacies and also that the said Executors Shall and do as Soon as Conveniently may be after my wifes Decease Sell and dispose of my Real Estate Given and devised to her as aforesaid and also what may Remain at her Decease of the Personal property which I have herein above bequeated to her; for the best Price or most money that Can be Reasonably got for the Same and it is further my will and I do order that after the Said Legacies are fully Paid that all the rest Residue and remainder of my Estate of what kind or nature so ever the Same may be Equally devided [sic] amongst my Sons John, Peter[,] Jacob and Daniel and my Daughters Elisabeth the wife of John Gares and Mary Catharine, Sarah and Magdelena or the Surviver [sic] or Survivers [sic] of them and the Heirs of Such Surviver [sic] or Survivers [sic] forever and lastly I do Nominate Constitute and appoint my Sons Peter and Jacob Stout to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other wills legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament In witness whereas I have hereinto Set my Hand and Seal Dated the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Said Testator to be his last will and Testament in Presence of us his Peter X Stout Mark [Signed] John Heany John Kachline" [The following is a transcription of the Probate statement:] "Bucks ss. January 23d 1807 before me appeared John Heany & John Kachline the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of writing purporting to be the Last Will & Testament of Peter Stout deceased, who on their solemn Oath of affirmation did declare & say that they were personally present at the Execution thereof, and saw & heard the Testator therein named, sign, seal, publish & pronounce the same as and for his Last Will & Testament, and that at the time of his so doing he was of sound mind, memory & understanding to the best of their knowledge & Belief." [Signed] Wm Hart Reg[istrar]" [The following is a transcription of the Notice of the Administration] "Register's Office, Bucks County, April the 26th 1808 The Heirs, Creditors, and other Persons interested, are desired to take NOTICE, That Peter Stout and Jacob Stout Executors of Peter Stout late of the township of Rockhill deceased, have filed in this Office the Accounts of their Administration to the extate of the said deceased, and that the same will be presented for approbation and allowance, to an Orphan's Court, to be held at Newtown, in and for the said County of Bucks, on the thirty first day of May next at 10 o'clock, A.M.
