BOYD et al To Benj. BAUER - Butler Twp. - Butler County, PA This Indenture made the twenty-fourth day of December in the year of our lord. One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven. Between William S. BOYD and Mary Boyd his wife, and Albert G BOYD and Elizabeth F. BOYD his wife, of Butler Township Butler County and State of Pennsylvania of the first part, and Benjamin BOWERS of Township County and State aforsaid party of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part. For and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars, lawful money of the United States of America to there in hand paid by the said party of the second part. at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whom of is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold, and by these presents, do grant bargin sell release and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all those certain two lots or pieces of ground situtated in the Borough of Butler in BOYDS plan of lots bounded and described as follows to wit. beginning at a pin corner of Lot no. 11 sold to Harry BOWERS and Jefferson street, thence along said Jefferson street, one hundred and seventeen feet to a pin corner of Lot no 7 sold to ??? B. L?xal, thence along said Lot one hundred and eighty-three feet more or less, to an alley thense along said alley one hundred and twelve feet more or less to the pin corner of Lot no 10 thense along said Lot one hundred and eighty-three feet more or less to a pin at the place of beginning. Being lots numbered eight and nine Nos 8 & 9. Being parts of Lots numbers 3,4 & 5 in said Borough which our lots come deeded to William AYERS late of said Borough died seized, and whose title by deed of conveyance from his heirs and by Sheriff's sale and deed rested in John GILBRETH who by deed dated April 20th AD 1853 conveyed the same to Alfred GILMORE who by deed dated May 10 AD 1859 conveyed the same to William S BOYD and James DUNLAP and the said James DUNLAP conveyed his intrest to Albert G. BOYD by deed dated the twentith day of Nov AD 1863. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances to said described Lots of ground, hereby conveyed belonging, or in any wise appertaining and the revisions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold the said described lots, hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the use of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And William S BOYD and Mary BOYD his wife and Albert G. BOYD and Elizabeth F his wife, the said parties of the first part their heirs, executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and promises herein above described and granted or men- tioned, and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals. BOYD Recd the day of this date of the above Indention of the above named Benjamin BOWERS, the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the Unted States being the consideration money above mentioned in full Witness William S BOYD Wm. BOYD State of Pennsylvania County of Butler SS Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of Dec AD 1867 before the ?? an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said Counrty, came William S BOYD and Mary BOYD his wife, and Albert G BOYD and Elizabeth F BOYD his wife, and acknowledged the within and foregoing intentions to be their act and deed. The said Mary BOYD and Elizabeth F BOYD being of lawful age and by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said deed being first made known to thence by reading, did thereupon declare that they did voluntarily and of their own free will and acord sign and seal and as their act and deed deliver the same without any coercin or conpulsion of thier said husbands Certified under my hand and seal at the aforsaid the date aforsaid.
