(Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: March 11, 1863 Died at Harrisville, Pa., February 23d, after a lingering illness of about four months, William Curtis, eldest son of William and Elizabeth Fleming, in the 24th year of his age. He had been greatly afflicted from childhood with disease in the stomach. About three years ago his health improved so much, that on the election of Mr. Lincoln as President, he applied for and was appointed Postmaster for this place; the duties of which office he discharged faithfully and creditably, though never free from the disease which had so long preyed upon him… His parents, two sisters, and two brothers, one of whom, is in the army, are called to mourn their loss...
