(Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: March 18, 1863 Died on the 12th of February, Mr. Robert Leason, Ruling Elder in Scrubgrass church, Butler County, Pa., aged 87 years. The deceased was a native of Cumberland Co., Pa., and came to Scrubgrass in 1799. In 1802 he was married to Miss Hannah Sharp, and they walked together 61 years... Mr. Lesson united with the Associate Church in 1804, but changed his membership from that to Scrubgrass church soon after the great revival therein, and during the pastoral labors of Rev. Robert Johnson. He was chosen elder about 30 years ago. One of his two sons is a minister, Rev. Thomas Sharp Leason, of Clarion Presbytery. The other, Samuel Leason, is an elder in Scrubgrass church...
