John Humphreys ) The declaration of John Humphreys upon his Solemn Oath represents that he was born in the County of Montgomery in Wales, that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiances and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty whatever and particularly to Queen Victoria Queen of Great Britain & Ireland of whom he was here- tofore a subject.
