Cambria County S.S. 
The Declaration of Alexander Mitchell upon his solemn oath represents 
that he is a native of County Autrim, Ireland and was heretofore a 
subject of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, that it is bona fide his 
intention to become a citizen of the United States and renounce forever 
all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or 
Sovereignty whatever and particularly to Queen Victoria of Great 
Britain and Ireland. And the said Alexander Mitchell makes report and 
registry as follows: Name Alexander Mitchell,, Birth place, County 
Autrim, age about 21 years, Nation and allegiance, Great Britain and 
Ireland and Queen thereof, Place he migrated, Liverpool, England , 
Place of intended settlement, Cambria County 
Sworn and subscribed in                           Alexander Mitchell 
Open Court the ninth day  
of January 1850
