Thomas Paul       )                  The declaration of
                    Thomas Paul upon his Solemn Oath represents
that he was born in Wales, that it was bona fide his intention
to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all
allegiances and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state or
sovereignty whatever and particularly to Queen Victoria of Great
Britain & Ireland of whom he was heretofore a subject.  And the
said Thomas Paul makes report and registry as follows viz: Name
Thomas Paul, Birth place North Wales, Age about thirty one, Nation
and Allegiance Great Britain & Queen Victoria, Place whence he migrated
Liverpool, Place of intended Settlement Cambria County. ---
