Williams from the handwritten text] 548 October Term 1847 ----------------- Petition of ) To the Honorable the Court of Common Pleas Ferdinand Pringell \ Pleas of Cambria County in the for / Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, The Naturalization ) petition of Ferdinand Pringell of Cambria County, Humbly Showeth, That your petitioner is a native of Hesse Castle in Germany and was heretofore a subject of Frederick William the 2nd and that he has resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America for five years, and within the State of Pennsylvania one year, and that the said petitioner declared his intention of becoming a Citizen of the United States of America on the 25th day of September 1845 at a Court of Common Pleas held in and for said County of Cambria as in & by the Records of said Court appears, that he will support the Constitution of the United States, and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and forever abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign princes, potentate and sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Frederick William the 2nd King of [continued on next page which I do not have -sdw]
