All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Lois Jones (oxalisgrower@hotmail.com) August 27, 2010 Allegheny Township Written: November 17, 1896 Recorded: January 8, 1897 Cambria County, PA Charles Flick et ux to Jerome Flick This Indenture, made the seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six, Between Charles Flick and Terisa Flick his wife of the Borough of Loretto County of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and Jerome Flick of the Township of Allegheny County and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Fourteen hundred dollars ($1400) dollars lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey, and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns. All that certain tract piece or parcel of land situate and being in the Township of Allegheny County of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a Beech marked for a corner, thence by land of heirs of Peter Kayis deceased, now land of heirs of Wm. Litzinger deceased, and a township road partly North 65 degrees West, 146 perches to a post, thence by land of Joseph Hogue South 48 1/2 degrees East 86 perches to a stone and continuing in land of same North 6 degrees East 74 perches to a post, thence by land of Alexander McMullen then East 73 perches to a stone, thence by land of Franciscan Brothers South 38 degrees East 80 perches to a stone thence by land of Martin Flick South 95 perches to a fallen cucumber, thence by land of heirs of Mark McLaughlin deceased now Michael Thomas West 65 perches to a postill by same land South 26 perches to beech and place of beginning. Containing 145 acres and 133 perches net measure. It being the same tract, piece and parcel of land the right and title thereof became vested in the present grantors by deed from Joseph Bender and Helena Bender his wife by deed dated the 23rd Nov. A.D. 1878 recorded in the office for recording deeds in and for the County of Cambria in Record Book Vol. 41, page 515. Reference thereunto had will full appear. Together with all and singular the Buildings, improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, herditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim, and demand whatsoever of said parties of the first part, in law, equity, otherwise howsoever, of, in, and to the same and every part thereof, To Have and to Hold the said land as described hereditatments, and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns FOREVER. And Charles Flick and Terisa his wife the said parties of the first part for them and their heirs, executors, and administrators, does by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs all and singular the herditaments and premises herein above descried and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. Little /s/ Charles Flick State of Pennsylvania County of Cambria On this 17th day of November A.D. 1896, before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the above-named Charles Flick and Terisa his wife who in due form of law acknowledge the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed, and desired the same shall be recorded as such, the said Terisa Flick being of full age, and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully known to her, declared that she did, of her own free will and accord, sign and seal, and as her act and deed, deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
