M. Kuhn of Reade Township, Cambria County state of Pennsylvania of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said part of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars lawful mooney of the United States of America, unto him well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, All that certain lot or piece of ground situated in the village of Mountain Dale in the township of Reade in the County of Cambria and state of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows; Beginning at a point at the corner of the township road leading from Lloydsville to Glasgow and on alley thence along said Township road south sixty five degrees west fifty feet to an alley thence alongsaid alley south five and one half degree west one hundred and fifty feet to place of beginning being lot no. nine on the plan of lots laid out by said James McCartney on November 10 1882 and also part of a larger tract of land which Alex B. Reed agent Cragg & McNourtrie by his deed dated the 13th day of April AD 1847 granted and conveyed to the said James McCartney as recorded in the records office for Cambria County in deed book Vol 22 page 65 by reference thereto being had will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversionsand remainders, rents issues and profits thereoof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim, and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part, in law, equity or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part, for himself his heirs, executors and administrators do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that he the said party of the first part, his heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against him the said party of the first part, and his heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness whereof, the said party of the first part had to these presents set his hand and seal dated the day and year first above written. Kuhn the sum of fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States, being the consideration money above mentioned in full. D. 1888, before me, the subscribing Justice of the Peace in and for said County personaly came the above named James Mc Cartney who in due form of law acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be his act and deed, receiving the same to be recorded as such.
