D. one thousand nine hundred and thirteen personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace within and for the county and State aforesaid, Margaret Jackson, aged 65 years, a resident of Flinton, county of Cambria, State of Penna, who, being duly sworn according to law, mades the following declaration in order to obtain pension under the provisions of the ACT OF CONGRESS, APPROVED APRIL 19, 1908. That she is the widow of Andrew T. Jackson, who was enrolled under the name of Andrew T. Jackson, at Curwensville Pa, on the 28 day August, 1862 as a Private in Com. B. 149 Reg. Penna Vol., and honorably discharged 8th July 1865 having served ninety days or more during the late civil war. That he also served ____________________________________________. That he was not in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That she was married under the name of Margaret Snyder to said soldier at Near Lumber Ciby Pa, on the 17th day of Dec., 1865 by Price A. Roules, J.P. that there was no legal barrier to the marriage; that she had not been previously married; that the soldier had not been previously marrried, _________________ and that neither she nor said soldier married otherwise than as stated above. That the said soldier died January 11, 1913, at Flinton, Pa. R. D. that she was not divorced from him, and that she has not remarried since his death. That the said soldier left the following-named children who are not living and under sixteen years of age, to wit: ____________________________________________________________________________ That she has not heretofore aplied for pension. That her post-office address is_____________, R. F. D._______ city or town of Flinton, county of Cambria, State of Pa. Attest: (1) William Simmers Margaret X (her mark) Jackson (2) W. E. Glasgow Also personally appeared Wm Simmers, residing in Flinton, Pa., and W. E. Glasgow, residing in Flinton, Pa, persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say they were present and saw margaret Jackson, the claimant, sign her name (or make her mark) to the foregoing delcaration; that they have every reason to believe, from the appearance of said claimant and their acquaintance with her of 25 years and 25 years, respectively, that she is the identical person she represents herself to be, and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim William Simmers W. D. 1913; and I hereby certify that the contents of the above declaration, etc, were fully made known and explained to the applicant and witnesses before swearing, including the words,____ erased, and the words _____added, and that I have no interest, direct or indirect, in the prosecution of this claim.
