The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ___________________________________________________________ Declaration for Invalid Pension Peter Sarlouis State of Penna Cambria County On this 9th day of October, A.D. 1899 personally appeared before me, a notary public of the Cambria County a record for and within the County and State aforesaid, Peter Sarlouis aged 63 years, a resident of the city of Johnstown, county of Cambria, State of Penna, who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical Peter Sarlouis who was enrolled an the 10th day of February 1865 in company G of the 192nd Regiment and was honorably discharged at Harper's Ferry, Va. on the 24th day of August 1865; that his personal description is as follows: Age: 63 years; height 5 feet 6 inches; complexion, dark; hair, sandy; eyes, blue. That while a member of the organization aforesaid, in the service and in the line of duty at___________. This application being for piles, pains in the back, rheumatism and general disability and old age under act of June 27, 1890. That he has not been employed in the military or naval service otherwise than stated above. That since leaving the service this applicant has resided in the City of Johnstown in the State of Penna, and his occupation has been that of ______. That prior to his entry into the service above named he was a man of good, sound, physical health, being when enrolled a laborer. That he is now being disabled from obtaining his subsistence by manual labor by means of his injuries, above described and he therefore makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the invalid pension roll of the United States. That he has not received or applied for a pension. That his post office address id Johnstown (Lower Yoder township) county of Cambria, State of Penna.
