The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ___________________________________________________________ State of Pennsylvania County of Cambria On this 11th day of November, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety, personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace within and for the county and State aforesaid, Alex Troxel aged 56 years, a resident of the Township of Reade, county of Cambria, State of Pennsylvania, who, being duly sworn according to the law, declares that he is the identical Alex Troxel who was ENROLLED on the 4th day of March, 1864, in Private Co. C 184th Pennsylvania Vol. in the service of the United States, in the War of the Rebellion, and served at least ninety days, and was HONORABLY DISCHARGED at Harrisburg, PA, on the 19th day of July, 1865. That he is partialy unable to earn a support by manual labor by reason of kidney disease & rheumatism & age and general disability. That said disabilities are not due to his vicious habits, and are to the best of his knowledge and belief of a permanent character. That he has never applied for pension. That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890.
