Ferrell, who was employed by Grubb's Taxi, was inducted into the Army in April. Harry E. TOMLINSON, whose home is at 115 South New street, is at the United States Coast Guard station at Bodie Island, Manteo, N.C., according to information in a recent letter to his mother. His brother, Jack, also in the armed service, is in Denver, Colo. Second Lieutenant Mary E. HEALD, of Unionville, has successfully passed her physical exanimation and has left to assume her duties at Indiantown Gap. Miss Heald is a graduate of the Chester County Hospital Training School for Nurses, and has been a first reserve nurse with the Red Cross for eight years. Her address is: Second Lieutenant Mary E. Heald, A.R.C., Indiantown Gap, Military Reserves. Sergeant George Boyd "Doc" DOUGHERTY, of Reed's Road, near Downingtown, who is serving in the United States Army at some unknown location, writes home that he is well and busy and asks about his friends. He was inducted in the service on January 29th, 1942, at Fort Geo. G. Meade, Md., at which place he was located until about four and a half months ago. He may be addressed: Sgt. George Boyd Dougherty. 33075267, Company D, 135th Eng. Corps, A.P.O. No. 869, c/o Postmaster, New York City, N.Y. Sergeant Warren H. BRUCKART, of West Grove, who is with the 21st Engineers at Richmond Air Base, Richmond, Va., recently spent a short leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H .H. Bruckart, of West Grove. "Dutch" entered the service in June and spent about two months at Camp Wheeler, Ga. He was then transferred to his present base, and after a month there was promoted from Private to Sergeant.
