The Cambria Freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) August 20, 1868
During the progress of an amateur - very amateur - game of base ball on Friday, a
bat flew from the hands of one of the players, and after rebounding from the ground,
struck a little son of Mr. John Lloyd on the side of the face and temple, and
injured him so much that it was feared congestion of the brain would result the same
night. The little fellow is now, however, out of danger and doing well.
